Dr. Painter Pushes with Fire Palm

Bagua Shuaijiao

In our first seminar of 2004, Dr. Painter will present two different aspects of the Daoqiquan art. On Friday evening, February 13th, he will teach the advanced push hands games of Daoqiquan, including moving step and free stepping techniques. The principles involved in these games are applicable in any martial art. This is a continuation of the push hands curriculum he introduced in November 2003, but no previous experience is required to attend this part of the seminar.

On Saturday and Sunday, February 14th and 15th, Dr. Painter will present the next installment of the Jiulong Baguazhang curriculum:

  1. Review of Single Palm Change Circle Walking
  2. Inside turn and outside single palm Heaven turns
  3. Five Circle Heaven Palm Circle Walking
  4. Correct method of falling and rolling to prevent injury in street combat
  5. Heaven Palm Qinna release methods and basic arm lock takedowns from Heaven Palm
  6. Basic "Two Dragons at Play" push hands game

We highly recommend that all those wishing to advance their knowledge of Jiulong Baguazhang take advantage of this opportunity. Beginners are always welcome.
