In Jiulong Baguazhang, the wedge is the most basic tool for opening, deflecting and neutralizing incoming forces. It penetrates to the center like a sharp sword while simultaneously providing a resilient support from which incoming strikes and kicks can be effortlessly turned aside. It can be performed with such a light touch that the attacker is unaware he has been neutralized until it is too late.

In this exciting seminar, Shifu Painter will show how to use this most most basic technique in ways which are anything but basic. You will learn how to use your intention (Yi) and attitude (Xin) to penetrate to an attacker’s spine and take his balance from the first touch.

Students of all martial styles and beginners welcome!
